An Attendee's Letter...

All band directors, from any location, are welcome at the New England Band Directors Institute held at Plymouth State University!

SINCE 1992, NEBDI has become one of the leading clinics for bands and band directors. Located on the campus of Plymouth State University, NEBDI is a 3-day conference dedicated to music education at all levels. The campus is located in the northern section of the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire, minutes from Lake Winnipesaukee, Winnisquam Lake, Squam Lake, and Newfound Lake. Nearby hiking trails offer stunning views of the White Mountains, but it is the chance to meet with music educators from across the country that has brought people back year after year.

NEBDI is a 3 day conference dedicated to music education at all levels. Highlights of the 3 days include:
  • Sessions on all aspects of music education
  • Reading sessions for band music, grades 1-5
  • Reading session for Jazz Ensemble
  • Reading sessions of music by a composer (conducted by the composer!)
  • Rehearsal lab
  • Score reading room
